Now you can read the books online!
Well, the previews, anyway - I have Inomitus Est and Indomitus Oriens out on the site, and you can read the Prologue and the first two chapters by going to the 'Buy the Books' page, and then clicking the 'Read' button under Previews.
I'll have the other two books out tonight, and I'll be finishing Daddy's Girl in January, so you can read the whole Intermission.
Winter is a good time for getting things done, and this is going to be a big winter.
-
12/30/2011
More big happenings at the actual site today.
First of all, you can now send me an email, and I'll get it, so if you've been thinking that your beloved author is a snob, that's not true. I'm just overworked and didn't realize that the 'send email' button on the email page didn't do anything.
Second, if you're using the new Writer's Forum, you can now crit the works of others. I'll be doing more work on that site next week.
If you see anything that needs improvement, let me know! And, now, you can actually let me know, because the email page works.

I heard this Psalm today and it just sent my brain racing:
Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.
psalm 59:2
With Daddy's Girl almost done, I'm thinking of the next book in the series: Indomitus Sine Iniquitas. It is time to shake things up - and it is going to be amazing

Daddy's Girl wins the NaNoWriMo!
Don't be too impressed, all this means is that the first 50,000 words are done. If you're one of the people who pre-read Not Your Father's Eldadorian Empire, hang on to your copy because it's going to be tweaked a little and you've got a collector's item. Also, contact me and I'll send you the updated copy.
Prodigal Son was my first NaNoWriMo win and that took me a year to edit. I think we're looking at six months for this one.
Then I think I'll be getting aggressive with the advertising for the Fovean Chronicles.
You're in a very exciting time right now - stay tuned
-
11/14/2011
A New News Board! We were due for a better news group. With the
NaNoWriMo in full swing and your beloved author
almost done with the rough draft of
Daddy's Girl, it was a good time to take a break and improve!
More later!
-
9/25/2011
Now you can buy Not Your Father's Eldadorian Empire on the website, either through Amazon or Kindle.
This is Book One of The Intermission, three short novels which run concurrently between Indomitus Oriens and the next book in the series.
You can read The Intermission whether or not you've read any of the other books, without ruining them for you. This lets you dip your feet into the Fovean pool, and test the waters before you swim!
-
9/5/2011
Ok, I figured out today that the Community pages weren't letting anyone add to them, and fixed them
You should be able to use them now
-
9/1/2011
Today I went to a workshop on marketing your novel by Ann Crispin. For those of you who don't know her, she's the founder of Writer Beware and the author of several books. The workshop wasn't bad - she didn't care for the novels but gave some good ideas on marketting them regardless, and I came up with a few new ideas for new stories. As well, it led to a new writer's forum being added to the site.
Stand by for some expansion on Swords and sorcery!
-
7/2/2011
Not Your Father's Eldadorian Empire is now available on Amazon. I'll have links for you later this weekend. Those of you who have been waiting for the first book to start reading the Intermission can now begin. The third book, 'Daddy's Girl', will be available later this year. Happy 4th of July, all!
-
6/24/2011
Well, my loyal readers, here it is - the new and improved site. As you can see, there are still a few bugs to shake out, but when you're writing programs AND novels AND managing a 7 acre horse farm on your own (pretty much) it can be a little time intensive
The ability to read the books will be back up and improved shortly. You'll also be able to edit and update your data online, which I've gotten some feedback on.
If you spot a bug on the page, let me know!
-
6/19/2011
Pending Website Upgrade: I'm going to be upgrading the site to ASP.Net 4.0, meaning that we are FINALLY going to have the forum in place.
I've been doing a lot of research on my play-site:
The Guf, and developed a pretty good forum which I'm going to put into place here. While a lot of things about the site will look the same, it will be running better and there will be new features.
Thank the good people at
Go Daddy for helping me do this for free.
-
6/13/2011
Not Your Father's Eldadorian Empire is off to the printers and will be available soon. I can't count the number of times I stopped and started that book over the last few years - and to those of you who keep coming here to check up on it, I appreciate it. Now it's time to finish Daddy's Girl, which I'm thinking might be happening around this year's NaNoWriMo.
-
3/18/2010
Book one of the Intermission Not Your Father's Eldadorian Empire is COMPLETE. I am editing the gallies right now and artist extaordinaire Jennifer Brady is doing the cover art. Very soon you will be able to actually begin the Intermission, and the stories themselves will continue.
I'm sorry for the long pause in writing. It was a lot of things, but mostly writer's block, and you just have to wade through it. Good news is that the next book, Daddy's Girl should be done this year as well.
-
1/29/2010
Been a while since I've updated this, but it's been a while since I've written anything, either. Sorry, but it's been a long, hard writer's block and I'm just starting to come out of it. I'll try to get some of the chapters for Daddy's Girl out for those of you who are starving for it.
-
12/2/2009
Well, the NaNoWriMo came and went, and I barely touched it. Before I complete work on Fovea, I am battening the horse farm down for winter, which includes building a barn.
Ever build a barn by yourself? Yeah, that's a lot of fun. My thumb will mostly grow back before Christmas hopefully and, like a cat, if I fall off of a roof, I tend to mostly land on my feet!
The book is on hold until January, I'm afraid.
-
11/1/2009
The NaNoWriMo has begun. Expect to see 'Daddy's Girl' pretty soon! I DID take some time, tho, to upgrade those ugly buttons on the side.
-
10/2/2009
Good news! Good News!
Prodigal Son has been released on
Amazon, after I spent the last year working on it.
Prodigal Son was my
NaNoWriMo project last year, and seeing as I'm about to start another one,
Daddy's Girl, I figured it was time to put the first to bed.
Of course,
Not Your Father's Eldadorian Empire has been in the background this entire time, so I'd REALLY like to make a final dent in that this month. I guess you've got a very busy writer here.
On a personal note, living on the Tennessee horse farm for my first year has been a great way to get rid of all of that unwanted money! Very rewarding - we've rescued 4 horses this year with our limited resources, and will be welcoming a new horse,
Baby Girl next weekend. She's a
Tennessee Walking Horse, and what better place to own one? I'll see that she makes it on to the website.
-
8/29/2009
Good news, my little droogies! Prodigal Son is off to the printer and will soon be available for you to purchase.
November is the
NaNoWriMo, and I'm thinking that that will be the opportunity to write 'Daddy's Girl.' For that, I'm going to need a female proof reader.
Any takers?
-
7/28/2009
Well, it's time to update this page again, and we're going to start with the community. If you're reading this and you have an idea about what you're like to see in the
Community section, then send me an
Email and let me know what you think.
-
7/9/2009
Been wondering what's been going on lately? Well, your beloved author has been trying to collect his thoughts for the conclusion of Not Your Father's Eldadorian Empire, which is Book One of the Intermission
This included rereading the entire series, and (go figure this) the completion of Book Three of the Intermission, Prodigal Son which will soon be available online.
Sorry this is going so slowly - I want to provide something really different in the Intermission, and being the first author that I know of to do this sort of thing, I'm blazing new ground here.
-
6/12/2009
If you haven't noticed, Indomitus Oriens has a new cover based on the artwork of
Jennifer Lee Brady, and is now available on
Amazon.com. I'm also showing where you can get the e-book for less than $4.00.
I'm soon releasing Prodigal Son, as well - so stay tuned!
-
6/5/2009
Well, you might have noticed that the books weren't loading right, like they were supposed to.
Of course, I didn't notice until I loaded a new chapter, but when I did notice, I fixed it.
I guess I should haveb wondered why no one was reading the books.
This was fixed recently
-
6/2/2009
Well, I recovered a lot of the news board. Not the best job of backing up I ever did.
As you can see, I've gotten HTML into the gridview here. It should give a better effect. The best part is that I can do the updates online from anywhere, meaning that you'll be getting better and more News updates.
We're about a week from being able to download
Indomitus Oriens on Amazon and, if you go to the
Purchase page, you can actually see where you can buy
Indomitus Est on Amazon.
I'll be making
Prodigal Son available next, and I'm about 1/3 of the way through
Not Your Father's Eldadorian Empire
-
6/1/2009
Well, the email is finally fixed. Don't blame me for that one - we're using
Go Daddy' here, and it does NOT like to send e-mails.
If you'd like to send me an email now, I'll actually get it
-
5/26/2009
OK, loyal fans, it's been a while, I know, but there's some new changes you're going to see on the site.
First of all, you can now buy the books for much less on Amazon and Kindle.
Second, the proceeds now go to equine rescue.
Third - I lost a lot of the news pages here, but you have to start over some times, and this is one of them.
So as I busily crank out the Intermission sub series, tell your friends about the new changes!
-
12/1/2008
Well, it was a heck of a month, but I actually achieved the NaNoWriMo challenge, and wrote 'Prodigal Son,' in 30 days.
It actually turned out really good. You'll be able to download it soon from the web site.
-
10/26/2008
Two entries in the same month - can you guys stand it?
Well, the first thing is that there is another new chapter on the 'Not For Father's Eldadorian Empire' section.
This chapter actually turned out very well, and I think you're going to see a lot of stuff come together when you read it.
Now,
November is National Novel Writing Month, and what THAT means is that I'll be doing a chapter a day, every day, for thirty days. This is going to be the 'Prodigal Son' book, which is the one that best lends itself to bulling through.
Of course, you'll be getting lots of information posted up for you in November, so I'm going to be getting hot on the forum this week.
Finally, I'd like some feedback on whether you all want notification when a new chapter comes out. I've gotten some feedback that says that it would be easier on the fans.
Let me know!
-
10/19/2008
Well, who knew that there were more than 100 of you waiting to read the new book? I'd better get busier. Right now, I've just moved to Knoxville, TN, and getting the ranch in place. I've polished off two new chapters for you all (see how I say 'you all' now?) and they're under 'Not Your Father's Eldadorian Empire.' Just register to read them.
I've added a log off function for the site, as well as cleaned up the page after when you register. I think that that was confusing for some of you.
I want you to remember that this is YOUR site, too! Go to the contact section and tell me what you'd like to see here.
-
9/21/2008
Some more progress on the site - if you register, you can now start reading the newest book. I'll add the page where you can comment on it next.
-
9/19/2008
Well, the site is another few steps closer to done. I have the email working now and, if you haven't noticed, you
can't download the books from IntWiz.com any more.
I've begun the work on
Not Your Father's Eldadorian Empire. It's turning out pretty well.
Many thanks to
Jim Davidson for his review of Indomitus Est
That's it for now. I'm finally leaving Hell's Waiting Room - um, I mean, Orlando, FL, so responses here can be spotty.
-
7/4/2008
Ok, here's the deal:
Indomitus Oriens is in the final stages of editing, and will soon go to print.
As you can tell, I've pulled the books from
IntWiz.com to here, and you can't read them for free anymore.
The next three books will be:
Not Your Father's Eldadorian Empire
Daddy's Girl
Prodigal Son
These three books will be overlapping interrim books to tie up all of the loose
ends left after Indomitus Oriens.
These are going to be shorter books, much
easier to read.
-
3/4/2008
Happy day! Happy day! Book Two is finished.
Ok, kiddies - here's how it works. Now you've got no excuse not to comment (see the Community page). As long as I'm getting feed back, here or on the Sennadar forum, it stays free.
Let me down, and I pull it, and you can pay to read.
-
3/2/2008
Chapter 47 is out - I think the next one does it.
And now for something completely different, I've bought the web site Swords And Sorcery. Was kind of surprised to find that available, actually. Now I'm developing a forum there, and I plan to move this site to there, and drop this site. IntWiz.com has been good for me, but in fact it has almost nothing to do with my books.
-
2/26/2008
Posted an update to chapter 46 - it's a must read. Working on the final chapters now - time to put this to bed, as I'm already working on book three - Indomitus Vincit.
-
2/17/2008
I did another chapter this weekend, AND added the comment section under Community. I think this one is a lot better than the last.
I'm really looking forward to hearing from some of you on how you like the changed ending and the new site.
-
2/15/2008
OK, the big edits are through the grinder and Chapter 44 is finally updated. Looking to hear from people who've read both versions to see what they thing. E-mail me if you have an opinion to share.
-
2/12/2008
Updated the web site - what do you think?
-
1/29/2008
Updated Chapter 43, and starting on 44. Looking very good to put the book to bed this week
-
1/28/2008
Updates are done up to chapter 42 now. If anyone has read both, I'd REALLY like some opinions!
-
1/25/2008
Well, the rewrite is underway, as is the new site. I've just reposted Chapter 40, and updated chapter 41. If you've been following the series, then you really want to reread these chapters.
I'm off this week, so hopefully we're going to finish the first pass on this thing right away.
-
1/10/2008
Tonight I posted the new 39 and 40. I'm leaving the old ones on there for comparison. I'd really like to hear from you all either hear or on the forum, about what you think.
-
1/9/2008
Ok, ok - I know. You're waiting for the end, and you know it's coming. Sorry, kiddies, it's rewrite time. This happens in the creative process, I didn't like how it got where it's going, so it's being rewritten from chapter 39 on.
-
11/11/2007
Happy Veteran's day, everyone. We're at 43 chapter and about 550 book pages now, so plan on then end coming soon.
I'm not getting any feedback, and yet about 50 of you hit the site and read me per day. I'd REALLY like to think that this is more to some of you than free reading. If you aren't comfortable leaving the comment in the comments section, then look at the Sennadar link and use the forum there.
-
10/4/2007
Chapter 23 is rewritten to preset the Aschire fear of being alone, which Vulpe mentions in chapter 40 I'm getting ready to close this up.
-
9/25/2007
Well, guys - wish your author a happy 43rd
Chapter 38 was rewritten. 40 is almost done
I'd like to hear some opinions under comments about how you feel about the characters - especially Bill/Jack.
-
9/4/2007
Chapter 37 also rewritten. 36 rewritten again to foreshadow Raven's transition and realization of her power
-
8/25/2007
Chapters 34 - 36 have been rewritten to give Raven more of a reaction to Jack's leaving
